It faced the problem many television shows geared towards marginalized groups face-its audience. The show is either too stereotypical and alienates viewers or it's overly politically correct and lacks any substance. The show seemed to fall in the latter category and seemed to miss the "edge" that makes gay humor so funny. Season Two, now available on DVD, has made major changes for the better.
I know its too early to tell but hopefully Kate can give her a run for her money. I dont think its her fault she gets so much screentime though.. The program was originally titled The Big Show but was renamed during production. Would much rather see her in some sketches than Vanessa Bayer.
Sign in. See the list. Dancer Svetlana appears in a Beyonce music video, a mysterious farter disrupts a yoga class, and Arnaldo helps a group of horny men move.
The program was originally titled "The Big Gay Show" but was renamed during production. As the name indicates, the show features comedy sketches with gay themes or a gay twist. Sketch topics include parodies of old sitcoms like " The Honeymooners " and " The Facts of Life " under the Nick at Nite -parodying heading "Logo at Nite," a lesbian speed dating session and an extended send-up of Broadway legend Elaine Stritch working as a Wal-Mart greeter, among other decidedly un-glamorous jobs.
